Also, keep an eye on your kids—our website and services are not intended for children under 13 years of age, and we don’t knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If we learn we have collected or received personal information from a child under 13 without verification of parental consent, we will delete that information, so please let us know.

What we collect, how it’s used and who we share it with.

We don’t collect much personally identifiable information, and what we do collect is only information that you voluntarily give us through our website or other direct contact from you, including your name, phone number and email address. We use this information to respond to, and work together with you to create something great by providing you with information, or services that you request from us.  We will not sell or rent this information to anyone else, or share this information with any third party outside of Hootology, other than as necessary to complete our project together, comply with law or enforce or protect our rights, property or safety, or those of any other third party.

If you choose to participate in an interactive discussion group or other feedback community, you may provide us with additional information, including feedback, comments, survey responses, concepts, and ideas, as well as age, ethnicity, gender, and similar identifying information (collectively, “feedback”). By participating in the interactive discussion group or other feedback community, you grant to Hootology a perpetual, irrevocable, worldwide, royalty-free license to use all feedback you share with Hootology, without notice or acknowledgment to you, for any purpose related to the business of Hootology, including product or service development on behalf of its clients, and further you assign to Hootology all rights, title, and interest you have that relate to your participation in the discussion group or other feedback community and any resulting materials.

Also, unless to tell us to buzz off, we may contact you via email in the future to keep you posted on what’s new with Hootology, our services or this privacy policy.

We also may use certain programs, like Google Analytics, to gather non-personally identifiable information related to your usage of our website. This information is collected so that we can continue to improve your experience with our website and provide you with the most relevant content.  Additionally, we may use automatic data collection technologies, include cookies, browser cookies, flash cookies, and web beacons. We may tie this information to personal information about you that we collect from other sources or that you provide to us.

Do Not Track (DNT) signals are signals sent through a browser informing us that you do not want to be tracked. We do not assign any meaning to DNT signals.

Security procedures in place to protect misuse of your information.

We take precautions to protect your information. However, transmitting information via the Internet and mobile platforms is not completely secure, and we can’t guarantee the security of your personal information when transmitted through our website, via email or through other means.  So, any transmission of personal information is at your own risk, and we are not responsible for circumvention of any privacy settings or security measures we provide.
